During the past five years, the Centre has promoted, through its UGC-sponsored workshops and seminars, the Reflective Approach (RA) as a viable model of continuing professional development (CPD) for teachers in general and teachers of English in particular. In 2012-13, the Centre has taken the model further forward: at the workshops the Director of the Centre has conducted as part of the consultancy services of the Centre, he not only vigorously promoted the model and encouraged teachers to undertake RA as part of their CPD, but promised to provide mentoring services to those teachers who decide to adopt one or more of the procedures suggested by him for their own CPD.
